At the CES 2025 exhibition held in early January in Las Vegas, the American company Fuse Audio unveiled an entire range of vinyl players distinguished by their vertical record orientation. Additionally, the event marked the debut of the new full player, the Fuse Audio GLD, which is set to be available for purchase soon.
Last autumn, Fuse Audio, established in 2016 and led by Joseph Wu, initiated a Kickstarter campaign to support the GLD project. So far, it has successfully raised $627,000, significantly surpassing its $10,000 funding target, with contributions from over 2,500 backers. The company reports that the tonearm of the Fuse Audio GLD turntable has been enhanced from its original design. They state that “after more than six months of design and testing, the new tonearm provides improved tracking force balance for superior playback.” Additionally, the improved design of the Fuse Audio GLD features a “slightly adjusted” headshell angle for the included Audio-Technica AT3600L cartridge.
The Fuse Audio GLD turntable showcases a vintage aesthetic reminiscent of mid-century devices, finished in ash veneer and available in both black and gold options. This new model supports Bluetooth wireless connectivity and is outfitted with a 36-watt amplifier for each channel, along with two bookshelf speakers. Each speaker is designed with a one-inch tweeter and a four-inch midrange/low-frequency driver.
The Fuse Audio GLD vertical turntable accommodates playback speeds of 33, 45, and 78 rpm and comes with an external 15V power supply. The recommended retail price for this new product is $349.
