Audio-GD upgrades Audio-GD Precision 3 , offering a 2020 version. It is based on the previous model, but with modified circuitry and adjusted sound characteristics to offer even more transparent reproduction.
Thus, Precision 3 2020 Edition offers a 100% discrete architecture capable of delivering 2x70W of power into 8Ω or 2x15W of power into 40Ω (for headphones). Its input stage is a Class A, non-feedback ACSS input with a DC-coupled analog amplifier.
The gain and prebuffer stages also operate in Class A, with discrete analog stages, and no AOP or coupling capacitors in the signal path. The open-loop diamond cross output stage avoids crossover distortion, thereby rivaling Class A amplifiers.
Precision 3 2020 Edition takes advantage of the latest ACSS technology, improving the quality of RCA connections to approach the quality of ACSS connections. It has a single voltage gain stage for signal processing, but operates entirely in ACSS mode, which is effectively a current gain stage. This design allows the signal path to be significantly shortened, resulting in a more neutral and authentic sound.
Audio-GD Precision 3 2020 Edition has 2 analog inputs: RCA input and ACSS input. The output, of course, is via 2 speaker terminals that accept banana plugs. The result is simple: superb musicality, thanks to exceptional dynamics and a rich sound, extremely detailed in every detail.
The Precision 3 2020 Edition's monaural bridged mode delivers at least 200 watts per watt. For this, a preamplifier with conventional balanced XLR outputs or a DAC Audio-GD preamplifier from the NFB series is absolutely necessary. To enjoy the sound of your speakers, just connect them according to the diagram below. However, you will have to use proprietary Audio-GD modulating cables (purchased as accessories).

It is also possible to bi-amplify the DAC Audio-GD NFB preamp output to ACSS or RCA via a conventional preamp. The cable required for these installations is available as an option.
