The Ladder Bach II is a new Class A preamplifier with a fully balanced circuit and discrete architecture.
It is built around an 80-watt low-noise toroidal transformer with filtering using ELNA and WIMA capacitors. A discrete unity-gain buffer stage ensures precise signal transmission without coloration. Volume control is implemented via a microcontroller and a 60-step relay attenuator with precision-matched resistors, eliminating channel skew and ensuring stability at low levels.
The enclosure is crafted from aluminum alloy with an anodized finish and a brushed texture. The front panel features two symmetrical rotary encoders for source selection and volume control, as well as an informative display. The rear panel features two balanced XLR inputs, one RCA input, and both balanced and unbalanced outputs. The unit is compatible with 115/230V power supplies and is suitable for global use.
