Mark Levinson 600 Series
Mark Levinson 600 Series

Mark Levinson has introduced a new preamplifier, the No. 626, at the High End audio fair in Munich, alongside a stereo power amplifier, the No. 632, and a powerful mono power amplifier, the No. 631. However, the initial shipments will be postponed, with deliveries expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Mark Levinson 600 Series

Mark Levinson is currently exhibiting its latest amplifiers at the Munich show floor. This series features three models: the Preamplifier No. 626, the Stereo Power Amplifier No. 632, and the Monoblock No. 631. Each amplifier is designed in accordance with Mark Levinson’s Pure Path circuit philosophy for analog circuitry and highlights the brand’s iconic Tectonic industrial design, which merges a machined aluminum chassis with black anodized controls. The inclusion of glass panels on each amplifier, along with the signature red accents and lighting, enhances the striking and unique aesthetic.

The dual-mono preamp model No. 626 is said to be priced at €28,000. It utilizes the Precision Link III DAC for digital processing, which accommodates up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM and native DSD through six digital inputs: AES/EBU, two coaxial, two optical, and USB-C. For analog connections, it features two balanced (XLR) and three single-ended (RCA) stereo inputs, a Pure Phono MM/MC stage for turntables, and a Class A headphone amplifier for main drive.

The No. 626 is engineered with modular isolation, featuring specialized shielding for the power supply and digital source circuits to protect them from the analogue and phono circuitry. It utilizes dual power supplies and incorporates vibration-damping feet to maintain amplifier isolation. Additionally, the stereo power amplifier No. 632 (priced at 34,000 euros) and the monoblock No. 631 (priced at 44,000 euros) both utilize a class A/AB topology, fully balanced Pure Path signal paths, and robust power supplies with toroidal transformers as their foundation.

The No. 631 features a vertically oriented design, standing at just under 53 centimeters tall. Consistent with the rest of the series, this chassis is constructed from aluminum and finished in anodized black, complemented by a silver base. The front showcases a glass center panel illuminated by red lighting on either side, while the top panel includes a glass Core element with red accent lighting. The Mark Levinson No. 626, No. 632, and No. 631 amplifiers are set to be available for purchase in the fourth quarter of 2025.
