Vincent Audio has updated its previous model, the SV-500, introducing the SV-500MK. This new version incorporates HDMI ARC, Bluetooth connectivity, and a high-resolution digital-to-analog converter. Additionally, tubes have been integrated into the preamplifier section.
The latest Vincent Audio SV-500 MK II enhances the legacy of the SV-500 by including HDMI ARC and Bluetooth among its impressive features, along with a new DAC that supports 32-bit/384kHz resolution. This integrated amplifier maintains a hybrid architecture, combining tube input stages with solid-state output stages. It delivers 50 watts per channel at 8 ohms and 80 watts at 4 ohms.
Vincent Audio acknowledges that, despite its technology and sound quality remaining at the forefront of the industry, there is an opportunity for enhancement by broadening compatibility to accommodate a significantly larger variety of sources. Modern users increasingly desire the ability to connect their televisions and stream music wirelessly from smartphones or tablets seamlessly, without the need for extra devices or complicated setups. This is where HDMI ARC and Bluetooth connectivity come into play.
The SV-500MK features a total of six inputs, which include two stereo line-level RCA connections and four digital options (comprising one optical, one coaxial RCA, one HDMI ARC, and one Bluetooth). Notably, there is no dedicated input for a turntable. The preamplifiers utilize three tubes in total: two of the 6N1 variety and one of the 12AX7 type. These tubes are pre-stressed to enhance their longevity, with the manufacturer estimating a lifespan of approximately 10 years, and they can be conveniently replaced if needed.
The SV-500MK comes in a black and silver version, including an IR remote control.
