The Questyle Sigma Pro isn’t trying to be a pocket toy—and that’s exactly the point. This is a serious portable DAC and headphone amplifier designed for listeners and professionals who want desktop-grade performance in a transportable form. It’s bigger than the typical USB dongle, yes—but in return, it delivers power, control, and flexibility that those tiny devices simply can’t touch.

From mobile listening to stationary monitoring and studio work, the Sigma Pro is built around one core idea: no compromises, regardless of headphones, source, or use case.

The Sigma Pro's case is crafted from matte sandblasted aluminum, featuring physical controls, including a volume wheel and a display displaying active modes and settings.

Dual-Mono Architecture

At the heart of the Sigma Pro is a dual-mono DAC layout, built around two ESS ES9069 DAC chips, paired with Questyle’s proprietary analog circuitry. The amplifier section uses four fully discrete Current Mode stages—a Questyle signature technology that prioritizes speed, linearity, and ultra-low distortion.

Current Mode amplification isn’t just marketing here. It allows for exceptionally precise gain control, stable performance across wildly different headphone loads, and consistent sound quality whether you’re driving sensitive IEMs or power-hungry full-size headphones.

Multiple hardware gain levels make fine-tuning effortless—no software tricks, no digital attenuation, just clean analog control.

The digital engine is powered by an XMOS XU316 controller, supporting high-resolution PCM, DSD, and full MQA decoding, including MQA-CD. But the Sigma Pro isn’t limited to audiophile playback—it also features a dedicated Studio Monitoring mode, making it suitable for recording, mixing, and professional monitoring tasks.

Whether connected to a laptop as an external DAC, integrated into a larger hi-fi system, or used in a mobile production setup, the Sigma Pro adapts instantly.

Connectivity Without Adapters or Headaches

Questyle clearly designed the Sigma Pro for real-world use. You get three native headphone outputs:

  • 3.5 mm

  • 4.4 mm balanced

  • 6.35 mm

No adapters. No compromises.

On the input side, things are just as flexible. Analog inputs include 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm, while digital sources are covered via USB, optical, and coaxial. This makes the Sigma Pro equally comfortable with smartphones, DAPs, computers, CD transports, and professional studio gear.

All mode and input switching is handled via physical hardware controls, keeping operation fast and intuitive.

The chassis is machined from matte sandblasted aluminum, giving the Sigma Pro a clean, professional look that feels solid in hand. Physical buttons, a tactile volume wheel, and a clear display provide instant feedback on modes and settings.

A smart dual USB-C design separates data and power, allowing you to listen while charging—something many portable DACs still struggle with. The built-in 4300 mAh battery ensures true portability when you’re away from a desk or power outlet.

Wireless Done Properly

For wireless use, the Sigma Pro supports Bluetooth 5.4, including Snapdragon Sound and LDAC, ensuring high-quality transmission from modern smartphones and tablets. It’s also Apple MFi certified, guaranteeing seamless compatibility with iPhones and iPads—no power warnings, no connection drama.

The Questyle Sigma Pro comfortably replaces multiple devices: portable DAC, desktop DAC, headphone amp, Bluetooth receiver, and even a studio monitoring interface. It’s not about being the smallest—it’s about being the most capable.

If you want true high-end sound, serious output power, and professional flexibility in a transportable package, the Sigma Pro makes a very convincing case.
