Moondrop Golden Ages 2 are new fully wireless headphones that combine retro design with modern technology. The case is made in the style of a tape cassette, and the design is built around a patented 13-mm planar emitter with double suspension. This driver is characterized by high efficiency, wide dynamics and low distortion, which is especially important for TWS models.
The hardware is built on the proprietary Moondrop TWS-01 chip, providing an analog output of up to 25 mW per channel, SNR of 106 dB and support for modern audio transmission protocols – LHDC-V, LDAC and LC3. Bluetooth 6.0 is used for communication, and the minimum delay in gaming mode is 55 ms.
The headphones support multi-level spatial 3D audio with a choice of modes via the application, and built-in gyroscopes adjust the direction of the sound stage in motion. Gain control, transparent mode, customization via the application and a new graphic DSP equalizer with the ability to exchange presets in the online community are supported.
The noise cancellation system is based on ANC technology with an anti-wind algorithm and provides 30% more effective noise cancellation compared to the previous model. For calls, a Beamforming ENC scheme with two microphones is used. There is automatic switching between mono and stereo modes, as well as the ability to simultaneously connect to two devices.
The operating time reaches 7.5-8 hours on a single charge (AAC) and up to 24 hours with a case. Wireless charging and wired charging via USB-C are supported.
