The Denon DCD-3000NE is a heavyweight at 16.8 kg. A patented vibration suppression system (called SVH, or more elaborate Suppress Vibration Hybrid drive mechanism) combined with premium components delivers reference quality sound free of noise and distortion. Precision tuning guarantees the most precise music reproduction, according to the manufacturer.
DA conversion is handled by a quartet of ESS Technology DAC chips, type ES9018K2M, assisted by a precision clock generator. Denon also uses its own seventh-generation Ultra AL32 technology equipped with interpolation algorithms to produce high-resolution output.
The DCD-3000NE has a stereo RCA output and two digital outputs for those who wish to use an external DAC. The drive is capable of playing pressed CDs and SACDs up to PCM 24-bit/192 kHz and DSD 2.8 MHz/5.6 MHz resolution. But there's more, the DCD-3000NE can also read WAV, FLAC and MP3 files from CD-R/CD-RW/DVD-R/DVD-RW discs.
In Pure Direct mode, the display and digital outputs are disabled to minimize interference that could color the audio signal. The OLED screen displays all necessary information and can be read from several meters away.
The dimensions are 434 x 138 x 405 millimeters and the DCD-3000NE weighs 16.8 kilograms. It comes in a black and silver color.
Rumors are that delivery will start sometime in the last month of 2024. Perhaps the DCD-3000NE can be put under the Christmas tree.
