Portuguese network player manufacturer Innuos has announced a new device called ZENith Next-Gen. The ZENith Next-Gen is an upgrade of the ZEN Next-Gen with a Core i7 Embedded processor with eight processing cores.

Digital audio systems have become an indispensable part of today's audio landscape. For a pure digital signal, a dedicated digital source is needed, with precise details, from the stable power supplies with extremely low noise, via a customized motherboard to the specific software development that minimizes noise during use. And then you also want a nice operating interface.
Innuos ’ ZENith Next-Gen takes innovations like the PreciseAudio motherboard, NGaN regulator and AudioCore technology to new heights compared to the ZEN Next-Gen, according to the company. First, the ARC6 NGaN power supply, inherited from the power supply in the acclaimed Statement Next-Gen with its active rectification, 300VA Audio Grade Transformer, high-output choke and 130,000uF Mundorf capacitors, delivers all the power the system needs with ultra-low impedance, ensuring that no transients are missed.
But that's not all, because the ZENith Next-Gen upgrades the ZEN Next-Gen with a Core i7 Embedded processor with eight compute cores. This allows for even more separation between the cores for AudioCore, while maintaining excellent overall performance for a responsive system at all times.
The ZENith Next-Gen also features a pSLC (pseudo Single-Level Cell) industrial SSD for the OS, which is independently powered and added directly to the PreciseAudio board. Because pSLC features simplified controllers, they generate much less EMI compared to standard SSDs. Since it is the OS SSD that does most of the system work, this results in a significantly lower noise floor with a direct impact on sound quality. For the record, the Innuos ZENith Next-Gen does not have an onboard DAC.
