Rotel has announced two new products under the Michi sub-brand. The new Rotel Michi Prestige product line features two first members: the Prestige X430 integrated amplifier and the Michi Prestige Q430 CD player. The series is positioned as a range of more accessible entry-level models from the brand, while retaining the technical principles and design approach characteristic of the higher-end Reference series. Deliveries will begin during the second quarter.
Rotel Michi Prestige: New product line

The Prestige series builds upon proven Michi technologies, including power supply design (featuring Rotel's proprietary toroidal transformer), circuit isolation, and low-noise architecture. The two new components are aimed at listeners seeking high-quality audio in a more affordable format, while maintaining the brand's focus on build quality and industrial design.
Rotel Michi Prestige X430: integrated amplifier with analog and digital connections

The Michi Prestige X430 integrated amplifier is a Class AB amplifier capable of delivering 210 watts per channel into eight ohms or 340 watts per channel into four ohms. It features a specially developed toroidal transformer and powerful output stages and, according to the manufacturer, is designed to drive demanding loudspeakers while maintaining low noise and distortion.
The Prestige X430 features an on-board DA converter with an ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M DAC chip at its heart and support for coaxial, optical, and USB inputs, the latter supporting PCM and DSD formats. There is also Bluetooth connectivity with aptX HD and AAC, and an HDMI input (ARC and CEC included) for connecting a television.

Additional features include dual subwoofer outputs, dual speaker connections (A and B, switchable), a phono input for MM cartridges, multiple analog inputs, and a front panel display with a VU meter and spectrum analyzer. The amplifier features an aluminum housing with a large rotary volume knob.
Rotel Michi Prestige Q430: CD player with analog and digital outputs

The Michi Prestige Q430 CD player features a tray and a transport mechanism that reduces vibrations during playback. It uses a multi-stage regulated power supply to minimize electrical noise. The Prestige Q430 can only play CDs, not SACDs.

The fully differential ESS Sabre ES9028PRO DAC is configured with multiple channels per stereo output to reduce noise and improve signal performance. Analog music signals are output via RCA outputs and an XLR output. A coaxial digital output (RCA) is also included for those who wish to use a different DA converter.
The Q430 CD player features a color screen on the front that can display album art. The housing is made of aluminum, following the same design as the X430, so that both devices match well. An aluminum IR remote control is included.
Prices and delivery information
Delivery of both devices is expected to start during the second quarter of 2026. The Prestige X430 amplifier has a recommended retail price of just under $5,000, and the Q430 CD player retails for just under $4,000.
