The DX340 features an advanced audio engine with a discrete 1-bit DAC configuration, powered by iBasso's advanced FPGA Master 3.0 system. This design ensures that music is reproduced with remarkable clarity, ultra-low distortion, and exceptional timing precision, comparable to larger, full-fledged desktop systems.
The DX340 supports the full spectrum of high-resolution audio formats, including PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz and native DSD512 decoding. Whether it's delicate classical passages or explosive rock dynamics, the DX340 reveals every nuance with ease.
Dual operating system
The DX340 offers a dual operating system experience. Users can choose between the audio-focused Mango OS for the purest playback, or a full-fledged Android 13 environment for flexible streaming and app access. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, the DX340 runs smoothly. Storage can be expanded via microSD card up to 2TB, enough space for approximately 3,500 CD albums ripped to WAV files.
The 6.0-inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2160 resolution is vibrant and responsive. Navigation is fluid and intuitive, while the interface provides quick access to playback controls, settings, and audio filters without distraction.
Modular amplification
The DX340 takes performance to the next level with its modular amplifier architecture. The standard AMP15 module delivers industry-leading output power and low noise, according to the manufacturer, and is suitable for a wide range of headphones, from sensitive in-ear monitors to large over-ear models. Users can upgrade to alternative AMP modules as new options become available to tailor the sound to their personal preferences. The DX340's interchangeable amplifier boards are compatible with multiple amplifier boards such as the AMP1X series, AMP12, AMP13, AMP14 and will also be compatible with other AMP1X series amplifier boards released in the future.
For flexible connectivity, the DX340 features balanced and unbalanced outputs, a coaxial output, USB OTG support, and wireless options including Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi. This combination allows the player to function seamlessly as a hi-res transport, wireless source, or USB DAC.
High-quality construction
Housed in a robust stainless steel casing and weighing just 486 grams, the DX340 combines premium build quality with practical features like replaceable dual batteries that deliver up to eleven hours of continuous playtime. Separate batteries for analog and digital
The DX340 is powered by iBasso's patented dual battery architecture, with the digital and analog sections powered by separate batteries. This independent power supply ensures the stability of the headphone amplifier's power supply and effectively isolates electromagnetic interference from the digital section, significantly reducing sound quality degradation caused by insufficient power supply. At the same time, the designers have further optimized the DX340's dual electrical architecture, with a unified display of power management, charging, and battery status, and a single icon. When connected to a fast charger with sufficient capacity, the DX340 is powered by an internal battery and is completely independent of the power supply.
