Alexandria Audio has recently introduced its inaugural mid-size three-way floorstanding speaker, Gaius. This remarkable speaker boasts a remarkable low-frequency range, thanks to its highly sensitive driver equipped with an 8-inch paper cone. Additionally, the mid frequencies are flawlessly reproduced by a 160mm diameter driver, accompanied by a midrange and high sensitivity dome tweeter. To ensure optimal radiation dispersion, these components are housed in a short waveguide.
Alexandria Audio notes: “Many measurements were taken during the development of Gaius, but our design focus is on reproducing the ‘original musical aspect' of the sound. To achieve this, we conducted extensive ETR (evaluation, tuning and retesting) optimizing crossover parameters, damping and careful sound tuning. We hope that music lovers will enjoy an even greater listening experience with the soulful and musical presentation of Gaius speakers . ”
