British hi-fi specialist Creek Audio has announced the Cymatics 6, the first model in a new loudspeaker family that the company describes as a defining step in its modern speaker development. The Cymatics line is planned as a three-model series—Cymatics 3, 6, and 9—each designed to serve a specific role in a system while sharing the same core engineering philosophy.
Rather than launching a single isolated model, Creek is introducing what it calls a scalable loudspeaker platform. The three Cymatics speakers will differ in size and output capability, but all are built around the same acoustic principles, cabinet construction, and crossover concepts.

The Cymatics 6 was developed as the reference platform within the series. The cabinet architecture, crossover topology, and driver integration are optimized for controlled frequency extension and spatial precision, while maintaining stable and realistic amplifier load characteristics.
The goal is to provide a consistent sonic character across the range, allowing listeners to choose a model that suits their room size and system without sacrificing tonal balance or imaging performance.
The meaning behind “Cymatics”
The name Cymatics comes from the scientific study of sound waves and how they form patterns when interacting with physical materials. Creek has used this concept as the foundation for the new series, focusing on:
-
Controlled dispersion across the listening area
-
Coherent phase behavior for accurate imaging
-
Smooth integration of low frequencies in real rooms
In practical terms, this means the speakers are engineered to maintain a stable soundstage and natural tonal balance, even outside the traditional “sweet spot.”

The name Cymatics refers to the science of sound waveform formation
Cymatics 6 as the reference model
Within the lineup, the Cymatics 6 acts as the reference platform for the series. According to Creek, its cabinet architecture, driver arrangement, and crossover topology have all been optimized for:
-
Controlled low-frequency extension
-
Precise spatial presentation
-
A stable, amplifier-friendly load
The emphasis on electrical behavior suggests the speakers are intended to work comfortably with a wide range of quality amplifiers, not just high-power designs.
New amplifiers also in development
Alongside the new speaker program, Creek is preparing a new generation of integrated amplifiers. These upcoming models will continue the brand’s long-standing use of MOSFET Class AB output stages, a topology Creek has refined over many years.
The new electronics are expected to adapt this proven approach to modern system requirements while retaining the brand’s traditional focus on musicality and reliability.
Bristol Hi-Fi Show debut
The Cymatics 6, together with prototypes of the new amplifiers, will make their public debut at the upcoming Bristol Hi-Fi Show. Creek says more detailed specifications, pricing, and availability information will follow after the show.

The cabinet architecture, crossover topology, and driver integration are optimized for controlled frequency extension and spatial precision, while maintaining stable and realistic amplifier load characteristics.
With the Cymatics project, the company is clearly positioning itself for a broader push into the performance-oriented segment of the British hi-fi market—offering both loudspeakers and amplification designed to work together as a coherent system.
