Modern Danish Audio: Jamo C707PA MkII Active Speakers in Five Stylish Colors

The Danish loudspeaker manufacturer Jamo has introduced the C707PA MkII active two-way loudspeaker, which features a master/slave configuration and is offered in five different colors. The C707PA MkII merges minimalist design with superior acoustic performance and a wide range of connectivity options, such as Bluetooth, HDMI TV ARC, USB-C, RCA, 3.5mm jack, and an optical S/PDIF input.

Jamo: loudspeakers since 1968

Jamo was founded in 1968 by Preben Jacobsen and his brother-in-law Julius Mortensen (JA-MO is derived from the names Jacobsen and Mortensen). By 1994, Jamo was the largest loudspeaker manufacturer in Europe, with a significant market share in Denmark. Unable to compete in the global market, Jamo gradually shifted most of its production to China. In 2005, the company was sold to Klipsch and nearly disappeared. In 2024, following the acquisition of the Premium Audio Company brand by Shenzhen-based Rayleigh Acoustics, Jamo Holding Limited was established as an independent entity to restore the brand to its Danish roots.

Jamo C707PA MkII: Class D amplifier and drivers

Inspired by Danish tradition and a vibrant lifestyle, the C707PA MKII active loudspeakers, according to the manufacturer, break away from Jamo's past style and create a new, inspiring approach that combines aesthetics and substance. Designed to integrate effortlessly into any space, the C707PA MKII two-way active loudspeakers are powered by 65 watts of Class D amplification per channel, in a bass-reflex design.

The speakers feature a 5.25-inch woofer, which combines a Hybrid Composition Conical Cone (HCCC) cone with a Long Displacement Surround (LDS) for controlled damping and linearity, and the iconic Jamo aluminum phase plug, resulting in lower distortion and improved transient response. The woofer is paired with a 1-inch dome tweeter with an anti-diffraction waveguide that ensures excellent spatial dispersion. A three-band EQ (Low/100 Hz, Mid/1 kHz, High/10 kHz) allows adjustment to any positioning and room conditions, allowing users to personalize their listening experience.

With a comprehensive range of inputs including Bluetooth 5.0 (with support for aptX/aptX HD lossless codecs), HDMI ARC, USB Type-C, 3.5mm jack, RCA (line/phono switchable) and optical, the C707PA MKII is designed to be the nerve centre of any hi-fi and entertainment system, combining audio and video.

The new Jamo design is available in five colors: black, white, yellow, khaki green, and blue. Each C707PA MKII pair comes with a removable grille, remote control, and isolation pads.
