The Klipsch R-600F floor-standing speakers, part of the refreshed Reference Base series, feature an enhanced design compared to their predecessors. The speakers now boast a more appealing exterior, thanks to a new vinyl finish that mimics natural wood, along with striking fasteners on the front panel. Furthermore, the addition of new, elegantly designed supports ensures both aesthetic appeal and essential stability.

The Klipsch R-600F features dual bass drivers measuring 165 mm in diameter. These drivers are constructed with IMG cones that have a copper finish, providing a striking look when the protective grilles are removed. Conversely, when the grilles are attached to the front panels, the Klipsch R-600F can blend more seamlessly into the surrounding decor. The grilles utilize magnetic clamps for secure attachment.

The woofers are integrated with a patented Tractrix phase inverter, a design feature that has been utilized in higher-end Klipsch audio systems, ensuring minimal noise and outstanding efficiency. The bottom-mounted outlet design allows for optimal use of the speaker's internal volume to enhance woofer performance. As a result, these relatively small speakers deliver a robust and full sound. To prevent sound distortion at elevated volumes, the Klipsch R-600F cabinet is strengthened with internal bracing. Additionally, the input connector block features dual gold-plated screw terminals.

The tweeter in the Klipsch R-600F is housed within a newly designed Tractrix horn that features a 90 x 90 degree dispersion pattern, with a refined inner surface. The enlarged opening area of the horn has enhanced the integration of the high-frequency driver with the woofer, resulting in a smoother crossover response and improved midrange sound quality. The tweeter utilizes an aluminum dome mounted on a linear travel suspension made of kapton. This design allows the high-frequency driver to produce sound across a broad spectrum with minimal distortion, contributing to a well-defined and expansive stereo image.
