Danish loudspeaker brand Radiant Acoustics has launched its third loudspeaker. Following two monitor models, the Clarity 66 is the first floorstanding speaker. According to the designers, the Clarity 66 is the ultimate expression of Radiant Acoustics' design philosophy. The Clarity 66 will be available in three color finishes, starting in mid-April.
Two-way floorstanding loudspeaker

The new, leading-edge floorstanding loudspeaker reduces distortion to below the audible limit while simultaneously delivering enormous power, deep bass, and extraordinary precision—so reads the promise of the designers of the Radiant Acoustics Clarity 66. This full-range floorstanding loudspeaker is designed to deliver breathtaking bass depth, extreme precision, and negligibly low distortion.

The Clarity 66 represents the pinnacle of everything Radiant Acoustics aimed to achieve with the Clarity series: immense dynamics, deep, controlled bass, and a crystal-clear midrange with natural musicality. Built on a combination of proven, industry-leading components and innovative new technology, the Clarity 66 delivers a powerful, room-filling soundstage without audible distortion and with remarkable control, even at very high sound pressure levels.
“With the Clarity 66, we wanted to deliver the grandeur and authority of the best floorstanding loudspeakers, while retaining the coherence and timing of a classic two-way design,” says founder Peter Lyngdorf. “In close collaboration with the brilliant engineers at Purifi, we have created a system that reveals the full depth and dynamics of the music, without adding anything to it.”
Drivers

The Clarity 66 utilizes two identical 6.5-inch Purifi Ushindi woofers operating in parallel to increase the dynamic range, reduce distortion, and improve bass response without compromising the purity of the midrange. Unlike many large loudspeakers that rely on complex multi-driver designs, the Clarity 66 is a true two-way system, featuring exceptional phase coherence and a seamless transition between the drivers for immersive and stable sound reproduction.

The fully symmetrical AMT tweeter delivers exceptional detail, dynamic headroom, and even dispersion across the listening area. The custom-made, multifunctional waveguide, also found in the acclaimed Clarity 6.2 , further expands the sweet spot while simultaneously ensuring seamless integration between the tweeter and the woofers.

For the low frequencies, Purifi developed the patented Superflare bass port specifically for the Clarity 66. This is designed to move enormous amounts of air with minimal turbulence, noise, or compression, enabling deep, controlled bass reproduction that remains clear and detailed, even at high volumes.
“With this bass port, we have effectively solved the distortion problems typically associated with bass ports,” says Henrik Sørensen, CEO of parent company Nordic Hi-Fi. “It is the result of Purifi’s advanced simulations and engineering, allowing the Clarity 66 to deliver deep, powerful bass that remains clear and controlled, even at extremely high volumes!”
Radiant Acoustics Clarity 66: housing

The construction of the enclosure reflects the same attention to detail as the acoustic design. A 15 mm CNC-machined aluminium front panel, bonded to a rigid 21 mm MDF housing, minimizes vibrations and resonance, while extensive internal bracing and advanced iCell damping suppress unwanted energy and preserve every detail in the recording.

Like all loudspeakers in the Clarity series, the Clarity 66 is assembled and tested in Denmark. Each unit undergoes rigorous measurements and tests using advanced computer-controlled analysis to ensure that every pair meets Radiant Acoustics' stringent performance standards. The result is a loudspeaker capable of delivering immense power and scale while simultaneously maintaining remarkable control, precision, and transparency, bringing listeners closer to the music than ever before.
Price and delivery information
Delivery of the Radiant Acoustics Clarity 66 is expected to begin in the course of April. The buyer can choose from three finishes: walnut, matte black, and oak. The price is just under $8,000 per pair.
